With joy we share that today Beatriz Acosta Mesa has been re-elected as Superior General of the Order of the Company of Mary, Our Lady for the period of government 2009-2015. We give thanks to God for revealing his will and to Beatriz for her availability to continue giving this service. The liturgy of today expresses well how we are called to live the service of authority-obedience: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy and my burden light.” (Mt. 11:23-30) With Mary Our Lady, we continue the journey of following and building the Kingdom. Rome, July 16, 2009 |
